More fun and games in the sea at Woolly beach. Jude had her first drive of Gerty home and managed the wierd gears fine and got it onto the drive in 2 gos - much better than Mike's attempts!

Spent the day on Wooly beach. Mike got a surf in on some diddy waves and Jude played with the dogs in the sea. Met up with Andrea, Craig and Luca. Cream tea and a pint of Devonshire cider way laid us on the way back.

Morthoe, Devon

Good run down last night for Gerty's first surf trip. Mike drove all the way without stopping and Jude and the dogs slept. Arrived at North Morte Farm campsite just before nine. Great not to have to pitch a tent and cart all our stuff out of the car, tho' we did have to put up the awning. Fantastic sea views.

Today there was no surf so we left Gerty to 'sleep it off' at the campsite and walked to Rockham beach - tried to get the dogs to go in the sea, but they weren't keen. Walked on along the cliff path to Woolacombe and ate some pasties and played with the dogs on the beach.

Curtains

Jude (who cannot sew!) has set herself the task to make some curtains for Gerty and our neighbour Fiona has brought us a load of textile samples from work. Can't decide whether to go for 70's big prints and make it really loud or ditsy and pretty. 80's style is definately out!

Wymeswold

Went to a VW show at Wymeswold and met our friends who are searching for a Bay window. Bought Gerty some new hub caps and some cool melamine cups and bowls. Not many T25's there but saw some beautiful splittys.

Forest of Dean

Gerty had her first trip to the Forest of Dean. Lovely campsite (Bracelands) with some great walks for the dogs. Met up with Uncle K. Auntie Sue, Debs, Kelly, Caroline and Luke plus all our various dogs - six in total. Walked the sculpture trail with the dogs (Charley and Harley pictured here - too fast to get a non-blurry pic) before a BBQ and heading home late.

Introducing Gertrude

We collected Gertrude today and can't wait for the adventures to begin. We have wanted a camper van for such a long time and we can't believe we have finally done it - we've finally got her home! Can't wait to get started on her interior and get her just how we want her.
